Families for Safe Streets is a national movement representing hundreds of members who lost loved ones or were seriously hurt in traffic crashes. They started a national effort to get presidential candidates to create a plan to #endtrafficviolence (please visit www.endtrafficviolence.org for details).
They asked us to organize an event at the presidential debate in Atlanta -- this Wednesday, November 20th!
If you lost someone or were seriously injured in a crash yourself and can attend, please RSVP below. We will have a banner, flyers, and t-shirts from the national group and will prepare you with information and talking points.
Location
We will get as close to the debate location in the event address as possible, but we're not sure yet where protesters will be stationed. Plan to meet at the Lakewood / Fort McPherson MARTA station on the Fort McPherson side at 6:30 and walk across the street to the debate. Debate location: Tyler Perry Studios (or entrance to development if closed) 315 Deshler St Atlanta, GA 30310
Meeting location: Lakewood-Fort McPherson MARTA Station next to steps leading to street, pictured below
2020 SW Lee St
(Walk from here to the Tyler Perry Studios entrance)
Atlanta, GA 30310
